Signals

The stack is in the job post.

Pancake watches six buying signals. These four matter most to devtools founders.

Stack

Teams still asking for Jenkins

An engineering job post that asks for Jenkins or CircleCI puts the company on your list.

Engineers who post the pain

A post about flaky tests or a surprise LLM bill puts its author in your leads.

Hiring

New platform teams

A platform or DevEx opening points to the company itself, never to a staffing agency.

Competitor

Engineers on rivals’ posts

Engineers who like or comment on a rival vendor’s post become leads once they fit your ICP.

Control

You choose who hears from you.

Pancake contacts only the leads you approve and add to your campaign. Nothing goes out for 10 minutes, so you can undo.

  • Your own LinkedIn

Outreach goes out from your account, paced by LinkedIn’s own limits.

  • No pitch in the invite

Connection requests go out with no note.

  • Weekdays, business hours

Pancake sends Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, in your time zone.

FAQ

Questions devtools founders ask.

Developers ignore sales outreach. Will this work?

Pancake reaches the roles you pick, like engineering managers or heads of platform. It connects without a pitch. When an engineer posted about the problem, the message starts from that post.

We’re open source. Can it find our GitHub users?

No. Pancake reads LinkedIn and job posts, not GitHub, npm or product usage. Point it at your own posts and the problems your users write about instead.

Does a job post naming Jenkins mean they still run it?

Not always. A job post lists the tools a team wants candidates to know. Pancake can’t see what a team has installed.

Can each founder send from their own LinkedIn?

Not from one workspace. Each workspace has one LinkedIn sender, so pick the founder whose profile engineers trust.

What does Pancake send, and where?

LinkedIn only, from your own account. A profile visit, a like, a connection request with no note, then up to three messages. No emails, no calls.

What do I approve?

Every lead. Pancake contacts only leads you approve and add to your campaign, and you get 10 minutes to undo.

Can I read the messages before they send?

You can read each one in the lead’s campaign journey. Messages send on their own when their step comes. You can’t edit or approve them one by one. To stop outreach, remove the lead or pause the campaign.

How many leads will I get?

Pancake aims for 5 to 15 new leads a day, delivered each morning. The count depends on how many people match your signals.

What does it cost?

$99 a month, flat, with unlimited seats. The 3-day free trial needs a card.
